Hey FaceTory Fam!

We have a huge announcement! FaceTory has skincare! We developed two skincare products that contain Artemisia (Mugwort) Princeps Extract– and trust us, this stuff is great for your skin!    

Why did we choose Artemisia?

Artemisia has been a long-time staple ingredient in Korea. It’s a remedy for the body and skin so yeah we get why it’s so popular! And to create effective products for our fam, we knew that this was the key ingredient! Topically, it reduces inflammation and contains Vitamins A and C, amazing antioxidants to help brighten and reverse damage caused by environmental factors to promote healthy skin! … yeah, do you see why we love it? We also wanted a product that can work for as many people as possible– that’s why these products can work with sensitive skin, redness, and breakouts!

What are the 2 products?

We’ve mentioned the 10-step Korean skincare routine in our blog and we’ve decided to create two essentials– a toner and cream! This duo aims to clear breakouts, calm redness, soothe, and moisturize your skin. Both products contain 50% Mugwort Extract to maximize calming capability. 

Artemisia Pore Refining Toner Mist

The toner has been designed to be used in several different ways: 

• Spray that mist on! (it comes with a spray nozzle!)
• Pour it into hands and pat pat pat!
• Soak a cotton pad and gently swipe upwards 

A few of us here at FaceTory love to use thinner toners that contain anti-inflammatory ingredients as a 2nd cleansing step after foam cleansing. It helps cool down our skin and helps remove any leftover impurities from my skin!

While the toner aims to soothe redness and acne and, if your skin is dry or dehydrated, you might feel a little dry afterward– well, that’s where the créme comes in!! 

Artemisia Balancing Light Facial Créme

This moisturizer aims to soothe and hydrate without leaving a tacky feeling.

We also decided to go with a squeezy tube type of cream so it’s easy to take on the go. It’s also much more hygienic and sanitary to squeeze from the tube than dipping your fingers into a container!

Who are these products for? 

We’ll be completely honest– this product is best for people with oily or combination skin who are dealing with pesky inflammation such as acne and redness. Mugwort is the perfect ingredient for people dealing with redness, acne, and other breakouts. If you’re a dry skin type with breakouts and would still like to experience Artemisia, we’d recommend that you layer it with other hydrating moisturizers and serums for the best results!

In order to create such products, the FaceTory team goes through multiple tests and samples in order to create the perfect product that we love and would like to share with our fam!

Clean Beauty is a lifestyle and is created for consumers who are a bit more conscious of what ingredients they place on their skin. In an effort for a cleaner lifestyle, we will be striving to create products that will be “FaceTory Clean” without compromising the efficacy. Our promise to you while creating these products is that they’ll be “FaceTory Clean”. This will mean that the product does NOT contain the following harmful ingredients: 

• Parabens, sulfates, phthalates, artificial fragrance, artificial coloring, mineral oil, petrolatum, oxybenzone, triclosan, ethanol/denatured alcohol
