The Beauty Behind Recyclable Skincare
In recent years, the beauty and skincare industry has made a significant shift towards sustainability and environmental responsibility. One of the major ways in which this change is being implemented is through the promotion of recyclable or refillable products.
The Importance of Recyclable Beauty
There are several reasons why recycling is important for the skincare industry. Oftentimes, products are packaged in materials that are not biodegradable, such as plastic. Plastic can take years to break down, contributing to the global problem of plastic pollution. By purchasing and using recyclable skincare, they can be used to create new products, reduce the need for new raw materials, and help reduce the amount of waste products.
Recycling beauty products can also help protect ecosystems and wildlife. Waste from products or other materials can find their way into other ecosystems and can contribute to the loss of natural habitats. By recycling your products, you are helping reducing the amount of waste that ends up in landfills and oceans!
How To Recycle Urban Calm Products
With Urban Calm, our entire product line is made out of recyclable materials and here we will go through the steps and procedures on how to go about recycling the products.
For our Cleanser and Essence, the recycling steps are the same. First take off the cap, remove the springless pump and rinse everything out. Toss the cap, pump and straw into the recycling bin! For the glass bottle, you can either keep it and reuse it or recycle it as well.
For our Serum and Barrier Cream, you want to do pretty much the same thing as before. Take apart everything; be sure to also remove the rubber part of the dropper that comes with the serum. Rinse and recycle everything, except for the lid stopper inside the Barrier Cream. Same as before, you can either choose to keep or recycle the glass case.
The shift towards recyclable beauty products is an important step towards sustainability and environmental responsibility in the beauty industry. We also hope that this blog helped showcase the importance of protecting our beloved planet and urges you to continue to recycle products.
